Saturday, March 3rd, 2001 we received from Ned Schuster, BHS '82, an urgent request for a Petition effort to help save his wife Suzanne and make a difference in the Health Care System.

"I am a BHS Alum - class of 1982. I need your help. My wife is going to die if she does not get this transplant. Please read below. I ask that you forward this onto everyone you know and every alumni of the BHS family. Please help us save her life. Dear Friend, As many of you know my wife, Suzanne Schuster, is dieing. She is in desperate need of a small bowel, stomach and pancreas transplant. Our insurance company, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of FL is refusing to provide benefits for this transplant. and are asking that you visit the site and fill out the online petition. It will take almost no time out of your busy day, and I do appreciate that you are very busy. Your "electronic petition" will be sent to BCBSFL along with physical signatures that we are collecting. Additionally I request that you forward this e-mail to everyone in your address book and ask them to do the same, then also ask them to forward to everyone in there address book and so on. We do not wish any financial contributions - we have health insurance and our insurer should pay for this operation."
