I'm deeply saddened to report that Gretchen Shafer, beloved History and Geography teacher, passed away this morning (May 5, 2012)at Highland Hospital in Rochester. I was fortunate to have been able to maintain contact with her (visits, telephone calls, emails) throughout the years. I shall miss her terribly.

I just found out that my best friend from BHS (class of 1974) Barb Fabian, just passed away. I had been trying to get in touch with her for awhile and am so sad to hear this news. I understand she'd been living with MS for quite a number of years. If there are any of you out there that were friends with Barb or I, leave me a message on this board. I know Barb Erskine and Melanie Marks were part of our group back then. I feel so bad that I hadn't seen Barb in many years, We've lost so many of our classmates. Thinking of Barb's family at this difficult time.

Tarry Griffen, I say your message about Amy Briskin and learned about a year ago she passed away. I remember her very well! I moved to Arizona a number of years ago and last saw her and her then husband chuckie d about 22 yrs ago. How did she pass away?

Does anyone know Barbara Fabian (Zeck) or Barbara Erskine? Also, I'm trying to locate an old friend named Jan Cole. She went to Brookside Middle School with me (BHS-class of 1974) but moved to California after that. If anyone knows these women, email me. I'd love to get in touch and say hi. Also, are there plans for a class reunion anytime in the near future?

I was curious (again) if anyone knows of the whereabouts of Megan Wood. Though it's a common name, I've got a Wood relative in my biological tree - not only are we looking for information on descendents, but, though a common name, I'm curious if Meegie could be related. My bio great-grandmother Catherine Moore McConnell had a sister Elizabeth Moore Wood. Hope everyone is well.
